Hi, guys!! My name is Gieun Park, you guys just call me “Lisa”. It’s my nick name. I’m a junior and majoring in tourism. Actually, I love traveling, that is the reason why I chose my major as tourism. I think that it will be the point of sameness among you guys and me. So I’m sure that I can give you a lot of useful information and tips about traveling. Besides, I wanna share some experience of traveling.
Culture / Food
First, Insadong main street
Insadong is located nearby Gyeongbokgung Palace and it is one of the traditional places in Seoul. So many tourists visit here to feel and experience about Koreans traditional life.
Let’s look around the Korean traditional
Firstly, we will meet at the exit 6 of the Anguk subway station. It is the entrance of the Insadong main street. Then we look around the Insadong street. There are a lot of stores which sell Korean traditional props, art, and accessories. If you have a lot of interest in design or beauty, Ssamziegil is a very fancy place to look around. And we will go to filp poly to take a moody black and white photograph. It is one of the hottest activities among the young people.
Secondly, There are a lot of street foods such as cotton candy, chicken skewers, and Korean traditional desserts or drinks. Try to eat one or two traditional street foods also can be a special experience. I recommend trying Korean Traditional Taffy TA RAE which is made by 16,000 honey strands. We will look how to make this Korean Traditional Taffy TA RAE..
Second, Miss Lee café
Lastly, we will go to Miss Lee café which has the Korean retro concept. You guys can try Tteok-bokki, Korean retro style lunch box and ice flakes with syrup in this restaurant. Besides, there are postcards and mailbox. If you write the postcard, they will send it after 100 days later. It will be a memorable experience by writing the postcard to you in the future.
I know that this place is a very common place for foreigners, but I think the tour can be changed by who guide your tour. : )
