Hello, I am 25 years old now and I am Sungkyunkwan university student. I finished my military service on April 27. So nowadays I am doing what I hoped to do when I was in the army. Being a tour guide is what I wanted to do because I thought traveling is very meaningful action with two reasons. First, we can know the site. Sightseeing, we can look for thrilling rollercoaster or history of the site or astonishing experience. Secondly, we can make good friends. Through traveling we can do all of the activities as a team. We can walk together, laugh together, share feelings together. I am ready to do many activities with you as a team. I hope you to be our team member.
History / Culture
First, Tongin Market
The district of Jongro is the center of Seoul. There are plenty of people, high buildings.
But there are also many traditional places of Seoul. So by traveling Jong ro we can experience both present and past of Seoul.
The point of my tour plan is looking for sites that even Korean don’t know through my personal experience of performing military service at jongro.
This tour will start at Anguk Station exit 6 (Line 3). Summer in Korea is so hot that I recommend you to wait at subway station if you come earlier.
We will move toward Tongin market thourgh the street of Insadong and Gamgodang.
Second, Deoksugung Palace & Cheonggye Stream
After lunch at Tongin market, we will walk Deoksugung Palace to see ceremony of changing guards.
Deoksugung was the place Soonjong who is 27th king of joseon dynasty lived. So now Deoksugung is registerd as the Korea Historical Site No 124.
After sightseeing the Deoksugung and ceremony, we move to pub near the Cheonggye Stream.
