Ik-Sun-Dong / Kwangjang Market
Back to 20 centuries of Korea!!
This tour will take you to place made in 1914 and 1905.
First, after we met, I will lead you Ik-Sun-Dong named in 1914 which means ‘the better place’. This small place is the oldest town have preserved Han-ok (traditional Korea house). These days, they face to redevelopment. But many people remodeling without breakdown. So you can experience old form and modern style at the same time. We will go coffee shop in Ik Sun Dong, drink Korea traditional tea and eat some snack. We can have a pleasant conversation!
Second, Kwangjang Market
After tea time, we will go to Kwangjang market by walk 15-20minute. This is one of the three largest and oldest market in Seoul. Main trading item is Korean clothes, curtains, clothing, bedding, embroidery, and handicraft. We eat special kimbap when we arrive. Kimbap is Korean street food what Korean love the most. You can easily make it by wrapping rice and various ingredients in Kim. Kim is a kind of dried laver, black and thin. This food is one of the foods we make for a picnic! Cheer up like we are going picnic!!!
Also, you can look around and shop. After shopping, we are going to the food alley. We will eat Korea street food and Bindaetteok, rice wine. Bindaetteok is a green-gram pancake. On the surface is crunchy and moist inside. Rice wine is made from grains like beer, But it is different from a beer can taste.
