First, Shinwha Mural Village
Shinwha Village is the mural village in Yaeum-dong. ‘Shinwha’ means harmony and a better life. When the village was formed first, most of the village’s residents were immigrants from an industrial park which was made newly in the 1960s. They were thrown out of their village for making a new industrial park in Ulsan. So they had to immigrate and wanted a better life than before. That’s why the village’s name is ‘Shinwha’.
We meet up in front of ‘YaeumJangsaengpo-dong Community Service Center (야음장생포동주민센터)’ and go to Shinwha mural village.
There are many alleys. Each alley has a theme like music, whales(symbol of Ulsan), famous paintings and etc…We’ll take photos with a mural and then you can send a postcard at the information center. The peaceful and calm village makes you relaxed. You can feel refreshed.
Second, Yaeum traditional Market
After the mural village tour, we’ll move to Yaeum traditional market. And we’ll look at the market and eat some food like a dumpling, Tteok-bokki or fish cake.
