Activity / Culture
I am a Chungang University student majoring in architecture. I love Korean display space, open space and heartfelt restaurant and cafe. Do you feel all Korea tourist spots are alike? The cultural sensitivity space tour with me who love Korean culture space will be a unique opportunity to feel the current vivid Korean culture.
We will travel on foot to the Jongno-gu like we take a walk. (So there is no transportation expenses.) Are you worried about the hot weather in the daytime in Seoul? Fortunately, we will travel from afternoon until night, so that you can enjoy the cool, breezy summer night !!
Our first spot is Bukchon craft workroom. Here, you can design your own Korean traditional Hanji (Korean traditional paper) doll, dressed in beautiful colors of Hanbok (Korean traditional clothes). You will definitely love this moment, and it will be a reminder of your unforgettable time in Korea.
Our second spot is Chang’s Kitchen in Sogyeok-dong. It has westernized menus such as pasta, salads, and steak, but these are actually made with Korean ingredients and recipes. So you can easily enjoy eating Korean cuisine at this restaurant. While you have a dinner, you can see a great view of the Gyeongbok Palace through large windows. From the moment you taste the food till putting down the fork, you can’t help admiring the food.
Second, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul (MMCA)
Our third spot is National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul (MMCA). There is an exhibition of the most modern and abundant artistic works in MMCA. It is now one of the popular museums among the Korean youths. Through watching the exhibition and experiencing in and outsides of the buildings, you can take gorgeous pictures. Admission to the museum is free on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 6 to 9 p.m.
Third, Cheonggye Stream
Our last spot is Cheonggye Stream. It is one of the representative places for an excursion. Enjoy the beautiful lights in Cheonggye Stream with a bottle of beer and take a walk. Night markets will be held ONLY on July 15-17th and September 9-11th. There will be various kinds of street foods, street performances, and handmade crafts. Do not miss this event!
